Resources Program

Major resource projects provide significant opportunities for Victorian suppliers.

ICN provides local industry with a sourcing service to identify opportunities for Australian suppliers and manufacturers by accessing Federal Government programs and ICN Network activities.

ICN matches products or services to major Australian projects within the Mining and Oil and Gas sectors thereby maximising returns for industry  from the resources boom.

General Opportunities

ICN Gateway

If you’re looking for new contracts, make sure you register your company details on ICN Gateway. It won't cost you anything to register and our consultants use this information to match your company with any opportunities that come up from project and procurement managers.

It might be hard to imagine your business supplying goods and services to a major state or national project but there is often a range of opportunities available within a project; big and small.

With more than 28 years experience helping local companies find opportunities in major projects and supply chains, ICN is a great place to start when looking to expand your business.

Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC)

The Government-owned Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) provides financial support for onshore contractors to export projects, as well as direct exporters.  EFIC funding is also available for suppliers to the resource sector when the goods or services provided are significant / integral to the development of the export-oriented resource project.

Examples of goods or services that may be considered integral include EPC contracts, engineering contracts, supply of essential machinery, and pipe laying services. Peripheral services such as food and beverage provisioning would not normally qualify.

EFIC supplements the availability of bank funding to enable businesses to win contracts that may otherwise be out of reach.  Working capital and performance bonds are two common ways in which EFIC assists qualifying Australian businesses. Click here to view the EFIC website.
